Interview

  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I am not the guy I appear to be at first glance. I would encourage you to scratch away at the surface and look for the diamond in the rough. Not to call my self a gem, but I believe we all are. Every human, when stripped of the prejudices which were taught, and the experiences which jaded them, lies a heart, capable of love and compassion. I can appear to be unapproachable, snooty, and superficial, very aware of it. I’m usually well groomed, properly composed, smartly dressed, and a stern expression drawn across my face, since I’m usually lost in thought. However, I assure you with much certainty that my gaze is warm, and my smile, candid. I’m tough as nails and don’t hesitate to stand up for my self and the people I love, the things believe in with conviction; my faith, my love, and our freedom. I pass it forward, quietly doing good deeds and the elation it gives. I am a man of integrity, these days it’s what I’m most proud of. I work hard and always deliver what I promise, if I am unable to, then I don’t collect. I don’t take a free ride from anyone, as I firmly believe that you give as much as you take. I hold my chin up high, as the work continues, eyes firmly on the prize.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I was told one day, “do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life”. I have had an uncanny ability to turn all my hobbies and passions into sources of income. I coach a variety of sports, as well as participate in some organized leagues. Particular favourites, are beach volleyball and sprint kayaking since they keep on or near water and under the sun. However nothing takes the cake, like my favorite activity of all time. If you ask me what my ideal day would be or vacation, I would respond without hesitation, shredding the mountain side slopes on a freshly waxed snowboard, in semi warm winter day, where the sun beats radiantly onto glistening snow. On these days you can find me and my buds ripping off the gondola, with a btl of wine on the inside pocket of my jacket, and a flask of bourbon, on the opposing side. I tend to enjoy making my own path down the mountainside, carving the forest, snowcovered trails with my snowboard, looking for sweet look out points to stop and soak in the view. Although I love the beach, nothing trumps that. Finishing the day watching an apres ski band perform some easy rock favorited with a cold brew... ca c’est la vie!
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I am a man of extremes. My mother always says that I don’t know how to half-ass anything. You know how some people’s parent’s are always on always telling them to finish what they started. Not mine! Mine are scared to introduce me to new concepts because once I get caught on to something I don’t stop until I’m the best or one of the best at it. *out comes my extremely competitive nature*. Long story short, I live on the extra mile, built a house on it, with a little fence and two car garage. I may not be the brightest or the most intelligent person in a room. What some may understand the first time around, may take me 50 read throughs, but you better believe that when I do get it, I’m going to do It better than anyone around me, because I am the most applied person you will meet in a long time. Preseverance, my second favoriting word that’s starts with a P, right after Pe***.
  • What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy entertaining. I enjoy having people over for dinner and going over the top to get the “wow” factor. Cooking is a passion. I’m also a very active person. Paddle boarding, open water swimming, cycling. I also like to put it in low gear and just chill out pool side in my speedo, always a speedo, or by a camp fire with a cold one with some solid people. A good movie, period pieces or anything with Melissa McCartney. Oh and dogs, I will pet every dog I see, you are warned.
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
The best experience I had in my life was the soul searching adventure I took to the crown lands of northern British Colombia, and Yukon, Canada. I went to plant trees as a summer job during University. There, I spent four months with my Doug, working for a company living in a tent. The purpose of our work was to restore for forestry after logging had occurred. I would spend the better part of my day alone, in the wilderness with my thoughts, in the raw wilderness northern Canada. It was during this time of reflection, detached from all of society, that I battled and ultimately accepted my sexuality. I decided to stop living for others, for the expectations and the image that others had of me, once and for all, to live for myself. I symbolically left the old me in that wilderness, and out came the new me. I’m me, that was going to live life and the only way he could, in complete genuinity.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
My sense of adventure, curiosity, drive. I’m always the first person to see how deep the water is, how high the jump really is, how steep the slope is, what lurks around the next corner. If you tell me, “don’t go over there”, you better tell me why, because I’ll go check it out for myself, even if you tell me, I probably still check it out. It may not be a great quality, some call it reckless, but I LIVE. I have lived more in my years of life than many can in entire life spans. I feel, I live, I love intensely.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
My greatest attribute has always been my optimism. My ability of turning the worst of experiences into something positive has taught me resilience. I have learned that perseverance is the most important ingredient needed for success.
My specialty would be the warmth, care, and attention I strive to apport paired with my pasion, lebido, and sultry/ piggish taste for sex, makes for a truly different experience.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
I would say that I felt most ful- filled during my years of coaching. My educational background is in kenesiolog and anatomy, currently in the middle of PhD. For the Better part of the last decade, I worked as a trainer of high performance athletes in cardiovascular interval training. Having been a national level myself, my job not only consisted of doing something I love, but also helping people achieve their dreams. It might be perceived as a self-righteousness spew, but in all jokes aside, nothing compares to the high one get when you make a positive impact on somebody’s life.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I travel as often as I can. I have been fortunate enough to have seen substantial part of the world. Enough to know it doesn’t revolve around me. If not abroad, then I’m kicking it from sea to sea in my own country which is massive! The true north! Strong and free baby!
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I’m a formal national level athlete in two sports, and provincial in two other. My entire life has been structured with discipline concerning training performance and eating appropriately in order to have sufficient fuel to withstand a rigorous training regimen. However the perks of working out like a champ means I can order pizza more often and keep the shape. Whoever said nothing tastes as good as skinny feels was on something a lot stronger than the elation of being skinny. I’ll give you a long list of things that taste far better than skinny feels. I come from a large family. If you didn’t eat fast, you didn’t eat at all. You would be mesmerized at the amount of stuff I eat, however it’s all quality! And balance!
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
I’m like a sunny day mixed with a bit of hurricane. I will only eat keto meals but finish every day eating pound cake in my underwear on the couch. I’ll stand by for marriage proposals.

There have been some bitter moments in my life. Moments where at points I was unlikely not to make it out from. However, here I stand, stronger than ever, and if you happen to be standing next to me, you will testify to how chipper my disposition is. Why, because I draw the positivity out of the darkest moments. I believe in living intensely, and savoring the moment, as they may not be another one after the one you are in this very moment. Stop and read the labels, make sure it’s voilet, and not purple. Smell the aromas around you, put your phone down and actually talk to your neighbor. Sometimes all it takes is a smile to stop someone from doing something terrible.

I wear my heart on my sleeve, as it’s important to be genuine. Its impossible for me to hide my emotion. If I’m unhappy you will know it, as it will be written all over my face. disingenuinity is not an outfit I wear convincingly.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
I once broke both arms the same time. I ended up in an upper body cast for 12 weeks, yet l discovered a way to masturbate successfully. Nothing brings out ingenuity like necessity. I think it shows how resilient I can be, not to mention resourceful! And yes this was all done without external help.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
I’d tell you about my multiple near death experiences, and how I not only overcame the challenges they brought to my life but my ability turn seek the positivity in any given situation. My experiences taught me empathy towards people who have gone through the variety of things I went through. They taught me to relish the moment, and to live my life for me, to the fullest. To drain every experience of its potential to the fullest. At the end of the day, it’s going to be you on that death, not the people we worry about. Not their opinions, no their ideals, and not their judgements. Who cares what they think, how often do you think about them.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I am driven and high energy. I’m fuelled by curiosity, passion, and conviction. I’m educated, opinionated, and outspoken. However, do not misconstrue this to being closed minded and stubborn . Discussion is always welcomed, as is enlightenment. Narrow-mindedness and parochialist behaviour is the worst outfit. One that I will never show up wearing to any party. I welcome customs, ideas, and criticism. I believe the feedback is essential to growth.

On a much more trivial note, I believe it’s worth mentioning, I like to take my time in the shower so be aware of this, you’ll understand why. And keeping on the light facts about me, I am very much a morning person, with no need for coffee. It’s all for you, I’m a smoothie/ protein shake kind of guy 😍.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
Unfortunately, what I enjoy the most of myself is also what has incurred some of the hardest, painful and unenjoyable moments of my life. My curiosity, sense of adventure, and knack to push boundaries and limits, have enabled a life rich of intense moments of both extraordinary and tragic. My Lebido, verocity, and spontaneity are all characteristics I feel make me stand a smidge taller. You propose a crazy plan that if not executed precisely, would most likely kill us, and my response will naturally be, “fuck yeah!”
